Abstract

This research aimed to produce a feasible learning set used on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA. The learning set extended over documentary film medium, lesson plan, student worksheet, and evaluation test on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sengah Temila. Research menthod was performed with descriptive analysis in the form of validity and learning set effectivity. From the result of the research yielded: learning set in the form of documentary film medium, lesson plan, student worksheet, evaluation test, were feasible to use as leraning set on scope biology material in Xth Grade of SMA Negeri 1 Sengah Temila. The set effectiveness, resulted an average score of study archievement by the amount of 75,78 and as much as 83,37% of students who have been attained their KKM.Keywords: feasible learning, scope of biology, validity, effectivity.

Abstract

The aim of this study was to describe conceptual understanding and sciences process skills of students through inquiry-based learning. The study was conducted in form of one group pretest-posttest design. Thirty five students of chemistry education program of fkip untan participated. Result showed difference of sciences process skills and conceptual understanding of students, before and after inquiry based-learning. Sciences process skills of students improved from 0% to 52% and 16% to 40% on very skilled and skilled categories respectively. Furthermore, conceptual understanding of students improved from 15% to 89%. To conclude, inquiry-based learning was able to improve conceptual understanding and sciences process skills of students. Abstract

The insillico research was conducted to produce primer sequence of COI gene in Butterfly species Papilio ulyses from Bacan Island that will be used in gene isolation. The COI sub-unit I is a barcode gene that generally have special purposes in animal identification. It is also available in phyilogenetic analysis. The first step of method is downloading the COI DNA sequence of Papilio ulysses from GeneBank (NCBI). Then the conserve region of COI sequence is identified to determine primer. Primer is designed with primer designer software (Genamics Expression) in two direction of DNA reading frame that are : forward primer (COI Pu-F) and reverse primer (COI Pu-R). The last step is primer confirmation with primer blast tool in NCBI. Primers of COI gene that are produced consist of two, that are CGAAAATGACTTTATTCAACA for forward primer (COI Pu-R) and AGCAGTAATTCCAACAGCTC for reverse primer (COI Pu-R). The optimal temperature of annealing is from 50,740 to 55,740 Celsius with PCR product around 567 base pair long. Key Words : PCR primer, in silico, COI gene, Papilio ulysses, Bacan island.

Abstract

Jamusan village is one of the areas that becomes the center of melon production at Prambanan subdistrict, Sleman, Yogyakarta. However, at this moment, the villagers of Jamusan still encountered many obstacles in melon farming. This is caused by the poor quality of the melon, crops that have not been handled well and the lack of farmer’s knowledge about the management after harvesting, melon production that is not absorbed by the market. LANTPYCATION Program (Plant, Apply, and Diversification) aims to provide knowledge about quality and good management of the melons in the form of processed product diversification melon. The method applied in the implementation of this program which begins with socialization, counseling, training in management and cultivation of melons, good governance, advocacy and marketing of melon processed product. The result of the implementation of this method showed the increase of farmer’s knowledge about good quality melon, farm management and procedures for the proper cultivation of melons in creating diversificated processed melon to improve the welfare of villagers Jamusan.It could be revealed that LANTPYCATION Program is a new method on sustainable agriculture of melon cultivation in Indonesia. Abstract

Feeding strategy Drosophila melanogaster can be to know from type of food is digested and other aspects of relationship with nutrients needed of body. Feeding strategy Drosophila melanogaster can be observed of exstract Averhoa carambolla foul, cook and young. The results of investigation showed feeding strategy Drosophila melanogaster pattern extract Averhoa carambolla foul, cook and young done by gathering with persentage like of foul 20 %, cook 30%, and young 70%. Keyword: Feeding strategy, Drosophila melanogaster, and Averhoa carambolla.
